June 2015. Hangar Design Group was entrusted by the real estate company Europa Risorse to develop the creative concept for the exclusive project named “Monticello”.
This is an ambitious real estate development in Rome, located behind the Vatican walls. The basic idea – on which the agency also shaped its creative proposal – is an oasis of prosperity and tranquility in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, as well as universally recognized symbol of Italian style.
June 2015. Hangar Design Group has curated for Colorificio San Marco all the visual communication of the new decorative product lines on the international market. The agency has designed and coordinated the below-the-line communication project related to the launch, as well as the visual design and communication tools that the company’s marketing department has developed. Besides below the line communication, Hangar Design Group has also supported Colorificio San Marco on developing a coherent image for its products online and offline, reflected in the redesign of the catalogues and selling tools.
May 2015. On the occasion of the last Milan Design Week, Hangar Design Group inaugurated a new collaboration with Listone Giordano: from the experience of one of the world’s leading companies in wooden floorings and from the rigorous aesthetics of the design collective, Lux and Stellar, two high range wooden parquet were born. These new floorings weave noble essences such as wenge and teak with metallic textures to give a geometric effect of great visual impact and to mix a contemporary look with the decorative potential of the wood floor.
May 2015. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with the U.S. branch of Piaggio Spa. The project will focus on a new narrative for the iconic Vespa, challenging notions of traditional motorcycle brand territory, and navigating new ideas of design and storytelling.
May 2015. Silko, a leading Italian manufacturing company, has encharged Hangar Design Group with new designs for professional kitchen equipment. Silko is an established brand in the production of powerful and quality systems for catering services and large communities. Technological innovation and excellent quality are its core values, that give birth to beautiful, sturdy and reliable kitchens along with a wide range of preparation, storage and distribution equipment.
May 2015. Hangar Design Group was commissioned to conceive a new packaging system for luxury food brand Amedei. The brand is a world-wide known Italian excellence, specialized in top quality chocolate. Amedei’s products are distributed worldwide, through major department stores – from Harrod’s in London, to City Super in Hong Kong and La Rinascente in Milan – and through its flagship store in New York City. Hangar Design Group will design a custom-made packaging system for all new ranges of products, varying from chocolate bars to pralines. The aim is to highlight Amedei’s expertise as a distinctive and valuable trade mark within the culture of chocolate and as a strong Italian brand.
April 2015. The collective presents its new projects at the Milan Design Week. A new lighting project “Futura” has been developed for Vistosi and is on show in Euroluce, while in via Brera 2 Hangar Design Group is hosting the “Back to Back” show, dedicated to new creations developed together with the brands of ACERA, Rossato Home Collection, Listone Giordano, Bertoni 1949. Leitmotif is the research of materials and textures, where the geometric variance and stylistic rigor are the recurring features.
March 2015. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with Frantoi del Vultùre, a consortium of olive oil producers operating in the South of italy. The creative group will support the group of companies in order to define its brand image on domestic and international markets. New communication tools on products and corporate identity as well as an articulated online campaign will also be developed.
February 2015. Feeding the Future is an exclusive event dedicated to Young Talents and Designers during the Milano 2015 Expo, whose official media partners are Vogue China and GQ China. The event showcases a selection of some of the most talented designers among 100 Chinese and Italian partecipants, new faces and models with the aim to be protagonist in the future coming years into the International Market. Hangar Design Group as an Associate Partner of the initiative, has been encharged with the development of the institutional and coordinated image of the event.
February 2015. We are pleased to announce an important acquisition on behalf of Hangar Shanghai: AJ Wine trading LTD i a major wine importer based in Vietnam and serving all the South Eastern Asian region, specialized in Italian and French wines and spirits. The companyhas enchaged the Chinese branch of the agency with the creation of new digital solutions that will renew the corporate website as well as the e-commerce platform.
February 2015. Hangar Design Group has recently signed a new advertising campaign for its client Confartigianato Marca Trevigiana, a landmark in the Treviso area for over 12 thousand SMEs. The print and outdoor campaign focused on a playfully provocative statement providing a distinct tone of voice in an industry dominated by stereotypes. The false opposition between the keywords “craftsman” and “entrepreneur”, underlined by contrasting colours, is revealed by an image that focuses on the portrait of a contemporary craftsman.The final payoff #associatialfuturo makes the campaign’s call to action explicit.
December 2014. Hangar Design Group has signed the new branding project for the “Museo del Gioiello”, the first in Italy and one of the few in the world dedicated exclusively to the jewel. The museum, promoted by Fiera di Vicenza, in partnership with the City of Vicenza, has just opened and is located within the Basilica Palladiana, a historical monument of the XVI century and one of Unesco world heritage sites. Hangar Design Group developed the museum’s logo as well as the signage and the way finding systems.
December 2014. Three generations of the Lunelli Family have seeked to achieve a constant quest for quality and elegance in wine making, as well as an indissoluble link with the terroir. These are the values shared by the brands that the Lunelli family has chosen to complement their top brand Ferrari Trentodoc, such as Tenute Lunelli, a collection of still wines of high quality, expression of three wineries in as many Italian regions: Tenuta Margon in Trentino, Tenuta Podernovo in Tuscany and Tenuta Castelbuono in Umbria. For this one of a kind brand, Hangar Design Group created a new website that reflects Lunelli’s unique history and spirit. Stunning imagery and easy of use approach let the viewer get a feel for the unique character of the vineyards, browse the wines and understand the family’s vocation to absolute excellence in wine making.
December 2014. Fazzini, the Italian company leader in high-end home textile, has encharged Hangar Design Group with the development of a retail concept for the complete layout of new flagship stores nationwide, as part of the company’s strategy of development for next year. The retail project will focus on enhancing the brand values and product quality, both in terms of aesthetics and of materials.
December 2014. Hangar Design Group has signed a new lighting system for Vistosi: the “Peggy” chandelier, as seen at the preview of the last Fuorisalone, interprets the polarity of black and white with the lightness of a rational and elegant mark. Available in different combinations, “Peggy” joins an aerial and harmonious construction with the lightness of hand-blown white glass thanks to the black metal lead-like structure. In the larger version, the arrangement of the spheres designs a perfect balance between the suspended full volumes and empty ones and acts as the central pin of the illuminated space, also thanks to its size, which reaches up to almost two meters in length.
December 2014. Bigwig, Chinese leading company in the luxury furniture sector, part of Guangdong Bigwig Estate Investment & Development Co. Ltd, has encharged Hangar Design Group with the creative concept of its new showroom in Shanghai. The space consists of a large open plan area crossed by a black lacquered platform that leads to different environments. The flexible nature of the exhibition space allows visitors to move in tranquility to better admire the Bigwig collection pieces. Each section of the exhibiting space is characterized by a different mood, that confers a unique personality to each set.
November 2014. ITALIAN ARCHITECTS IN SHANGHAI + EASTERN CHINA is a traveling exhibition organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai. The protagonists of the exhibition are sixteen of the most important Italian architectural firms in China with a selection of their major works. For this occasion, the creative agency Hangar Design Group has been asked to develop a digital platform as well as an exhibition design project conceived to be both flexible and easily adaptable to different media and spaces. The exhibition was first displayed during the Shanghai Design Week and is currently on show at Tongji University until November 30th.
October 2014. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with Genagricola, Italy’s foremost agro-food company, controlled by Generali Italia, and among the leading agro-food companies in Europe. The project will focus on a new branding strategy for Genagricola wine estates, which goes hanad-in-hand with a global reorganization process of the company. The creative agency will support the company in order to redefine its brand image on domestic and international markets, as well as to define new communication tools on products and corporate identity.
September 2014. Hangar Design Group has just started a new collaboration with the international group GENIMEX. With offices in Taipei, Shanghai and New York, Genimex is a leader in the supply chain management and provides a wide range of services from product design to manufacturing and sourcing. The project includes the visual identity redesign, a brand new website and several photo shoots, in order to give Genimex a modern, appealing and international image.
August 2014. The new Peggy Guggenheim Café was recently inaugurated at Palazzo Venier dei Leoni in Venice: a redesign project by Hangar Design Group, inserted in a unique museum context such as Peggy Guggenheim’s home. Reorganizing the space revolved around the dual purpose of, on one hand, emphasizing access to the temporary exhibits, and on the other, making the space leading to the café and adjacent bookshop more fluid. Lighting the space is the “Peggy” light installation, a lamp specifically designed for this space by Hangar Design Group and made by Vistosi. With shapes and black and white inspired by modernism, “Peggy” evokes the spirit of Calder’s mobiles, incorporating the levity and lightness of a rational and elegant mark.
July 2014. We have the pleasure to announce that we have started a new long term communication project with Arte Veneziana, an artisanal Venetian company, once specialized in the reproduction of Venetian mirrors, now offering a large collection of furniture with mirror finish. The goal is to launch and confirm the company’s new brand Rivalto as a reference point in the luxurious furnishings with a total living concept that joins the oldest Venetian craftsmanship tradition with a contemporary taste.
July 2014. Il Giornale, one of the most important Italian newspapers, celebrated its fortieth anniversary from its foundation last June. On this occasion, the publishing house decided to give a new look to the facades of its building in the heart of Milan overlooking via Meravigli and encharged Hangar Design Group with the project of renewing all windows displays. With a series of new videos combined with up-to-date graphic designs, the project conveyed a new image of the newspaper, in line with the deep transformation that Il Giornale is undergoing to meet the needs of the new digital age of information.
July 2014. China’s Citic Capital Holdings Ltd. and international shopping center operator Sonae Sierra have planned to team up in a property management joint venture. The two firms are looking to improve shopping centers in China, where retail sales present enormous potential for further growth. For this goal, they have encharged our agency with the design of the brand identity and corporate image of the new joint venture.
June 2014. Our agency has been appointed with a new communication project by the Italian company Ballarini. Leading brand in the top segment of non-stick cookware, Ballarini’s distinctive characteristics are its powerful links with Italian and international culinary tradition, and the technological and creative innovation inherent in its products. This will also be the central theme of the project that will also involve the development of new communication tools in collaboration with Mondadori publishing house.
June 2014. Hide&jack is a new start-up shoes brand now making its debut on the international markets. It is based on a new concept of customization, offering a range of high quality fashion sneakers as well as a variety of interchangeable covers which allow you to change the look of your shoes. Hangar Design Group has been entrusted with the whole branding project and communication tools. The agency has also developed the digital platform for the brand’s online shop.
June 2014. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with Fiol, a start-up company in the wine making business. The creative group will support Fiol, young wine makers based in the heart of the Prosecco and Cartizze production zone, in order to define its brand image and communication. Content curation, communication tools and corporate identity will be developed on behalf of this dynamic young wine producer for a cosmopolitan and contemporary audience.
June 2014. The Muuuz International Awards are a design competition organized by the the French ArchiDesignClub community, in partnership with Muuuz, a magazine focused on trends and inspiration for professionals in architecture and design. 45 products from 15 countries were awarded on June 12th in Paris. In the Urban Equipment category, the award was granted to Grid, a series of benches and accessories for urban furniture in public spaces, designed by Hangar Design Grup for Urbo.
June 2014. A retail concept and a branding project was commissioned to Hangar Design Group by Alpì, a new operator in the quality food business, focused on artisanal gelato. We designed the visual identity of the brand and defined an integrated branding project underlining the use of natural flavors and top quality raw materials through a fresh and informal image. Our agency also signed the retail design concept for a point of sale that just opened in a new large shopping mall near Venice.
June 2014. We are proud to announce that we have been appointed for the branding architecture project of “One”, a new multi-brand store opened in Shanghai by Simonetta – a renowned high-level childrenswear firm based in Italy. One, which opened in the Isetan department store, exhibits Simonetta’s own collections as well as all brands manufactured and distributed under license, such as Fay Junior, Fendi and Roberto Cavalli Kids Junior. With a view to expanding the business in international markets, the store One of Shanghai is the first in a series of new store openings in Europe and Asia.
June 2014. We are excited to announce that we have been appointed by Pianca, a long-established furniture firm based in the Veneto region, for an integrated communication project. Hangar Design Group is responsible for devising a comprehensive below-the-line communication strategy and for supporting the company on the European and US markets. A first step has been the event organized for Pianca in New York during the past ICFF in May, where the brand has been officially launched on the US market.
May 2014. On occasion of 14th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, VEDE, a network of design companies, all based in the North East of Italy, will be presented to the public and will feature among the sponsors of this important exhibition. Hangar Design Group has been appointed as main communication partner of the network and will support VEDE in all communication activities.
April 2014. Hangar Design Group presented its Unconventional Collection during the last Milan Design Week at Brera Design District, dedicated to living shared space. Among the featured projects: “Peggy”, a new lighting system, developed with Vistosi, conceived for the new café and restaurant in the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice; “One-o-One”, a reinterpretation from a western viewpoint of the traditional Chinese travel mugs, designed for the Taiwanese company Acera; “Grid”, a series of chairs and accessories for urban furniture developed for Urbo; “Madison”, designed for Rossato, a haute design piece of furniture with a nod to the 30’s and 40’s; and finally “Nomand”, a luxury travel trunk designed for Bertoni that becomes a sécretaire once opened.
March 2014. Hangar Design Group has been selected for a new branding project by Aquatech, a global leader in water purification technology for industrial and infrastructure marketsbased in Dubai. The creative agency will develop all the corporate and branding tools for the devices and products linked to an innovative technological process, focused on desalination and water reuse, that will be mainly distributed in several African countries.
March 2014. For this year, our designer collective will be present in the Brera district with four collections dedicated to living shared space: a lighting system that evokes a modernist mood, two series of furniture for urban space and luxury hotels, and a selection of portable objects, freely inspired by the theme of travelling. Choosing Brera as a crossroads of design, art and culture, Hangar Design Group proposes its vision of contemporary living by making the connection between companies with the same calling and origin, from the Veneto region to China, and by using complementary materials, from metal to leather and wood to ceramics. This is the source of the new “Unconventional Collection”, which creates fresh links among entities that would otherwise belong to distinct worlds, in a singular installation inspired by modernism.
February 2014. Hangar Design Group has been commissioned to design the communication tools of Aquae2015, a large programme of fairs, exhibitions, experiential activities and congresses about the Water, as one of the most important elements for human life. The event, organized by Expo Venice, the trade fair company of the city, will take place in Venice from May to October 2015, at the same time of Milan Expo, of which it represents the sideshow. The main theme of the Universal Expo will be “Feeding the planet, energy for life”. This is a first step towards a wider collaboration in view of the big Milan 2015 event, when more than 800.000 people are expected to visit.
February 2014. Hangar Design Group Milan will host en event during the upcoming Fashion Week for the Italian casual luxury brand Ziotello, a young menswear company that has already conquered a leading role on the Chinese market, with more than 200 mono-brand shops in the whole country. In 2011, Ziotello has been acquired by the Chinese fund Zelin Holding, also licensee for the Chinese market of the historical Italian brand Roberta di Camerino. Hangar Design Group will be in charge of the whole event concept and will support Ziotello in building a renewed image on the web.
January 2014. Antica Murrina, the Italian leading brand in glass jewels and accessories, has launched a new ad campaign just in time for the holiday season during the past month of December. Hangar Design Group was commissioned to create a range of press ads focussed on Antica Murrina’s Red Carpet collection, in accordance with the brand image developed by the agency for the company.
January 2014. Hangar Design Group has been appointed by the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, for the communication of the “Indonesia Night” event, to be held in Davos-Klosters on the occasion of the next World Economic Forum. The aim of the event is to present Indonesia cultural heritage, such as in textile, jewelry and food, as well as to facilitate high level networking.
January 2014. Hangar Design Group has been commissioned by Beatrice Chelli, a Tuscany based politicians, to develop her new website and social platforms dedicated to her politician communication. The project involves not only a new visual concept but also focuses on content curation online and on the main social media.
November 2013. Hangar Design Group reviews the concept of “nuevo tango”, developing the website of the historical argentine dance room Como Una Vez. Milonga, the milanese temple of argentine music and culture, has entrusted the agency for the concept and the development of a virtual space to be suggestive and impact, not only for experts but also for newcomers to these topics. November 2013. Hangar Design Group consolidates its expertise in the field of Food & Beverage, a fast-growing sector in which companies need the right communication tools and the right brand strategy to create an emotional storytelling. Hangar Design Group has strengthened its department dedicated to the branding with a special focus on wine, launching a section entirely dedicated to the Food & Beverage.
November 2013. It was recently opened the first Sundivina flagship store, placed inside one of the most popular luxury shopping mall in China: the Hangzhou Tower. For the project, followed entirely by Hangar Design Group, from the visual identity to the retail design, have been provided customized finishings and furniture. In 2014 the fashion brand has planned 30 openings throughout China.
October 2013. A typical tradition of Made in Italy, such as the leather processing, is the core business of Bertoni: historical italian company that is synonymous, in the luggage and leather goods sector, of the productive excellence. Hangar Design Group has started a strategy project to launch the Bertoni collection, revisiting the brand’s overall image, in order to highlight the heritage and quality of the products.
October 2013. Rossato, leader company in producing handmade furniture, has entrusted Hangar Design Group for a rebranding project to be strategically more consistent with the national and international market. The project involved the development of a communication’s plan that includes the logo’s restyling, the corporate tools and a new website.
October 2013. The new website made by Hangar Design Group for Palazzo Paruta, historical 4-star hotel in Venice, is now online. Not just a user-frienfly tool, usable from all the modern electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones, but also a real travel experience that, thanks to evocative images and useful advices, allows the visitor to enjoy what the city has to offer. It is also possible to book a room directly through the platform, thanks to an advanced reservation management system.
September 2013. Hangar Design Group has developed the graphic concept of the Generali Calendar 2014, the istitutional gift for the worldwide branches in Asia, Europe and America. The project, named “The Group, The People, The Ideas”, collects twelve works of art, which belong to the INA Assitalia – Generali Collection. As curator, Hangar Design Group appointed Philip Rylands, the director of Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice.
September 2013. Hangar Design Group has developed an adv format for Texa, a worldwide leader company in building tools for diagnosis and self-diagnosis in the automotive sector. The advertising subject is the AXONE 4 Mini, a touch screen tool that represents an innovation in electronic control units diagnosis. The graphic concept, with futuristic images, explains the revolution and the technology of the product.
September 2013. H.n.h, italian group of full service hotels and resorts, has decided to entrust Hangar Design Group with the brand and corporate communication of Almar, new luxury hotel project in Jesolo, Venice. The resort&spa, which will be inaugurated in the 2014 summer season, is the first 5-star hotel on the coast.
August 2013. Siapi, leading company in blowing machine market for bottles and containers, in plastics and resins, has assigned to Hangar Design Group, and its press department, to develop a new communication strategy to increase the brand’s presence in the traditional press and on line.
July 2013. Pellini Caffè, one of the 5th largest italian coffee producer, renowned for its constant and rigorous attention to the selection and analysis of the best Arabica beans, choose Hangar Design Group to develop the exhibition design project for the international hospitality industry fair, Host 2013.
July 2013. Last week we received a delegation of students and teachers from Lander University in collaboration with IED, Venice. The aim of the meeting was to tell the philosophy that supports our work and to explain them our main graphics, branding and retail projects. Lander University is located in South Carolina and helds a lot of courses in graphic design, arts and advertising.

The project’s goal is to export the style and taste of the Italian bakery in China, starting from the city of Suzhou. Exporting the traditional italian care of bread products in a successfull franchising system in the Far East, is the leading idea that support San Polo’s project.
June 2013. Azienda Agricola San Felice has assigned to Hangar Design Group the project of label design for the wines Villa La Pagliaia and Il Grigio. This restyling is part of a wider communication project for a leading Italian wine company, world-renowned for the production of Chianti Classico.

The multi-subject campaign, planned and designed by Hangar Design Group, has spread to the main Italian airports: Milano Linate and Malpensa, Roma Fiumicino, Venice and Trieste. The campaign has been developped through indoor and outdoor billboards and digital video.

April 2013. We are pleased to announce that we have just unveiled our new digital project for Allegrini, a widely renowned Italian winemaking company from Valpolicella and a top player brand on the international wine markets. The project has involved the redesign of Allegrini multichannel website as well as the development of a new digital imagery. Through the multibrand portal www.allegrini.it, the user can explore Allegrini’s world and all its brands, which include – beyond Allegrini itself – Corte Giara wines from Valpolicella as well as the Tuscan estates of Poggio al Tesoro in Bolgheri and San Polo in Montalcino.
April 2013. Hangar Design Group was awarded with the Special Mention of the OMI Award 2013 for the best design and art direction of the book “Ideas not Airships.” The work, published by Skira in 2011, gained the approval of a qualified jury composed of academics, communication and media professionals, entrepreneurs, and of thirty students from the best universities of graphic and visual design of the Veneto region. Next to Hangar Design Group companies such as Benetton, Enel, Electrolux, Berlucchi Luxottica, Poltrona Frau and many others participated to the competition.
April 2013. The need for wine companies to increase their brand identity is constantly increasing. For Vinitaly 2013, the Hangar Design Group has designed several projects of brand identity, exhibition design and packaging for various leading companies. Among those, the Allegrini group, who with its wineries in Valpolicella and Tuscany has brought the excellence of Italian wine worldwide; the winery Faotto Bottignolo, small manufacturer of Cartizze present in many starred restaurants; Bortolo Nardini, historical brand of grappa; Agricola San Felice, a long-established winery of Chianti; Ferrarelle with the awarded Platinum edition water and more recently Marzadro, award-winning distillery from Trentino.
March 2013. We hve just unveiled the new brand identity and website for OnoLife SPA, a top quality Day spa offering exclusive and personalized treatments in a setting of complete relaxation. The first Italian spa center to open in China, Onolife SPA offers a unique combination of Italian and Chinese elements to make customers feel comfortable and satisfied in its distinctive concept and design.
March 2013. Beauty Point chooses Hangar Design Group for the launch of a new cosmetics retail project under the brand Niyo & Co. Beauty Point finds its headquarters in Rome and currently counts more than 80 points of sale in the country. The company has strongly innovated the retail format of beauty stores, enlarging the average surface of the shops and offering a much wider range of products and service. Our agency has now been appointed to develop a totally new retail concept a national scale for one of its brands, based on values of 100% Italian style and products.
February 2013. An airplane on the horizon line in Normandy. This picture is the most beautiful gift that Gabriele Basilico left us when he came to see us at our studio in 2002. On that occasion he also came to shoot a series of portraits which we keep among our most precious works. We will miss him.
January 2013. Hangar Shanghai has acquired among its new clients the Italian Bonfiglioli Group, leading company in the global power transmission market. Hangar Design Group designed and curated a new booth at the Bauma 2012 Fair, the most important international trade event in China and Asia for all sectors of the construction-machinery industry.
January 2013. We designed the identity system and website for Visualizing Venice, an educational project covering a series of inquiries into how social and economic change shaped the city of Venice over time. The Visualizing Venice project is led by a group of Faculty and graduate students in Architecture, Architectural and Urban History, and Engineering who seek to show how urban space evolves over time.
January 2013. Gruppo Generali will host the Investor Day in London at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday 14th. Hangar Design Group has designed the format of the event, that will gather Generali Group’s financial elite in the City. Overall branding Image, Exhbition design, and marketing tools have been developed in order to redefine in a way of ”understated elegance” the visual keywords for the Investor day, the most prestigious appointment of Generali Group during the whole year. The event can be followed via viadeo webcast through the Generali website.
December 2012. We have recently conceived and curated the visual design of the Harvest 2012 Diaries for the Allegrini Group. The three books, dedicated respectively to Allegrini, Poggio al Tesoro and San Polo, tell about the day-by-day work in the vineyards during harvest with a documentary and yet poetic tone of voice. The new graphic design, clean and elegant with a vintage mood, gives the publication a more distinctive and memorable identity in coherence with the Allegrini brand.
Hangar Shanghai has recently acquired the company Lamberti Chemical Specialties as a new client. The company is the Far East branch of the Italian leading group in chemical specialties for a broad range of industrial applications. For more than 50 years Lamberti has also been active in the tannery industry, developing and producing a complete range of chemicals products for leather industry. Hangar Design Group through its Shanghai office designed the company exhibiting space at the All China Leather Exhibition, a premier event in Asia for the leather industry.
December 2012. Last Friday we received a large delegation from Shunde Graduate Education Center, headed by the Deputy Director of the Industrial Design Department. The aim of the meeting was to exchange views on the approach to projects for the Far East. The Guandong Industrial Design City Development as well as the School of Arts and Design of Guangzhou University were also represented at the meeting.
November 2012. Sunvina, a major Hong Kong fashion label carrying made in Italy womenswear, has appointed our agency for its 2013 Spring-Summer campaign. The shooting has taken place on the streets of Milan, mainly in the Duomo surroundings, under the creative direction of Hangar Design Group. The new campaign, promoting the launch of the new collection, will debut in early 2013.
November 2012. The winners of the 17th International Packaging Competition organized by Vinitaly have been announced in Verona. Hangar Design Group has been granted two awards for its rebranding project developed for Bortolo Nardini: in detail, for the category “packaging of spirits made from grapes, marcs, must or wine”, the Gold label award was tributed to the bottle Aquavite di Vinaccia Riserva Nardini while the special “Coordinated Image 2012″ Award was given to the new Nardini family line of grappas. As the International Packaging Competition claims to designate the best best image through bottles in the world, we are deeply honoured to have received this new important acknowledgement of our work.
November 2012. We are pleased to announce that the new flagship stores designed for Deborah Milano have been inaugurated. Located in the heart of the shopping area of Milan, as well as in other mid-sized cities of Northern Italy, the new shopunderline the brand’s vocation for colour, design and innovation. A family business since 1903, Deborah Milano is a leading name in the italian cosmetics market, with the mission to make beauty an affordable pleasure for all women.
November 2012. Hangar Design Group has curated for Mondadori the visual communication of the new Kobo e-reader on the Italian market. The agency has designed and coordinated the below-the-line communication project related to the Kobo launch, as well as the visual design and retail fittings appearing in all Mondadori points of sale. Besides below the line communication, Hangar Design Group has also supported Mondadori on developing a coherent image for Kobo online and offline, reflected in the the refurbishment of the Mondadori e-shops, which have been grouped under a single brand, in Mondadori. The aim of this project is to strengthen customer service by integrating all points of contact.
October 2012. We have just unveiled a new bookstore located inside the world’s most visited historical monument and designed for Electa publishing house. This is the result of a long-term collaboration that will also lead to the redesign of the other existing bookstores at the Colosseum. In the bookshop, visitors will find not only Electa publications but also other books covering themes related to the museum, plus a whole range of art objects and multimedia products. The opening of the new point of sale has taken place on the occasion of the unveiling of the new museum within the Colosseum area dedicated to temporary exhibitions on the history of the monument and of the city. October 2012. The integrated furniture system DotBox, designed by Hangar Design Group for Dieffebi, has newly been introduced on the occasion of Orgatec, the leading international trade fair for office and modern working environments. DotBox is a modular system of storage units whose strength lies in its ability to extend both vertically and horizontally with countless possible combinations. It is ideal for organizing open spaces, dividing areas with different functions and allowing for smooth spatial planning that stimulates the staff in a productive way.
October 2012. We have recently designed the new brand identity for inMondadori. The new logo stands as the common brand for all the company’s consumer oriented commercial places, both physical and digital. A bespoke typeface merges with the famous Bob Noorda’s Mondadori logo, identifying the whole Mondadori world of products.
September 2012. Inaugurated on Sept. 28th, the new exhibition at the Collezione Peggy Guggenheim in Venice gathers more than seventy works tracing the evolution of the career of Giuseppe Capogrossi, a major figure in the first generation of post war Italian painters. Renewing its long-term collaboration for the with Collezione Peggy Guggenheim, Hangar Design Group has curated all the coordinated image and communication tools of the exhibition.

September 2012. We are pleased to announce that we have just unveiled our new digital project for Ballin, a leading Italian manufacturer in luxury footwear production. The project has involved the development of a new digital imagery both for the corporate website as well as for a new up-tp-date e-commerce platform whose aim is to establish the brand as one of the leading players online.
September 2012. We have just developed a new concept for the logo and corporate image of the brand Studio La Perla, part of the larger Italian group La Perla, leader in luxury underwear. Underlining the essential look of the brand together with its natural inclination for fashion, the logo project will interpret modernity with a feminine touch.
September 2012. The new labelling has been unveiled for the line of aperitifs and liquors by Distilleria Nardini. A modern lettering and a a strong graphic personality on an red background define the Bitter, the Rosso and the Mezzoemezzo, while traditional iconic elements of the Nardini identity – such as the glass scroll and the historical Bassano bridge – balance contemporary taste with tradition.
July 2012. A new video has been released by Hangar Design Group for Consorzio Venezia Nuova, showing the advanced state of completion of the Mose System mobile barriers, commenced in 2003, which will secure Venice and the entire lagoon area from high waters. The video marks a new long-term collaboration between our agency and the consortium.

A new campaign has been designed for the prestigious Tuscan winery Poggio al Tesoro, part of the larger Allegrini Estates group, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. “Excellence has never been so young” is the headline of a narrative illustrating the fast road to success that the company has been able to undertake. The campaign has been inspired by the book “10 years – Poggio al Tesoro”, designed for the Allegrini Group and presented to the public during the last Vinitaly expo in Verona.
July 2012. We are pleased to announce that, after Bejing and Vancouver, we won the competition for the exhibition design of the new Assosport booth at Casa Italia during the next Olympic games. In the wake of the enormous success enjoyed by the “Galleries of Excellence” staged in Casa Italia during the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and in Vancouver 2010, Assosport, ICE and the Ministry for Economic Development have renewed the assignment to Hangar Design Group for the design of a unique showcase for the Italian Sportsystem. The exhibition will highlight the peculiar features of Italian manufacture, especially with reference to the peculiar nature of the London Olympics, the most eco-friendly and greenest event ever.
June 2012. Our new work for the Venice Region Convention Bureau, the regional organisation promoting business tourism for the Venice Area, has been unveiled. On behalf of the Veneto Region Hangar Design Group has curated the logo as well as all graphic design for the new communication promoting Veneto as the ideal destination for business tourism. The tools of the promotional campaign will be distributed on the occasion of major fair trade shows as well as to all major operators in the business on a worldwide scale.
June 2012. We have recently unveiled the new brand design and visual identity conceived for Dione, a Shanghai-based association. Dione gathers the most influential managers working in Asia for European high-end fashion brands. The project has involved the creation of a new naming as well as a brand new logo design, declinated onto several tools such as brochures and packaging. The design conveys the sophistication as well the exclusivity of the network.
June 2012. On the third floor of the Mondadori Multicenter near Duomo in Milan, the new concept store dedicated to food culture has been receiving great appreciation since its opening in 2011. In the space designed by Hangar Design Group, visitors are welcomed in a scenic path to explore taste and experience live cooking. Beside the store concept, Hangar Design Group curated the whole corporate strategy of the project Cook&Books, from naming to logo, from internal communication to merchandising.
June 2012. Hangar Design Group has designed the new logo and corportate identity for Pavia & Harcourt. Established in 1951 in New York, Pavia & Harcourt is a business law firm, operating in New York, Milan and Paris and representing Italian, French and other foreign entities and individuals who do business in the United States as well as American clients who do business in the U.S. and abroad.

The past week we have unveiled of our new video celebrating the 30th anniversary of the studio. The video was shot on September 18th, at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, during a gala evening when more than 400 people attended. May 2012. Mondadori has encharged Hangar Design Group with the development of a new design concept for a line of everyday object under the label of Emporio Mondadori. Such important partnership involves a close collaboration with the company throughout 2012.

The Chinese brand Acera, leading company in handcraft ceramics very active on the Asian market, has encharged Hangar Design Group with the internationalization of the company through the development of a new brand identity project. Step one: the opening of the first flagship store in the heart of Taipei.
May 2012. Airest is a company of the Save group operating in the retail industry through more than 160 retailers located in airports, motorways, stations, shopping centres and factory outlets. The company has recently assigned to Hangar Design Group the project of a new retail format for the Hub concept stores within Venice Marco Polo airport. The first opening is expected on summer 2012.

April 2012. The America’s Cup World Series is now getting under way in Venice: boat races will take place from the 12th to the 20th May. On the occasion of this world-renowned event, the organizing committee Vivere Venezia has encharged Hangar Design Group with the visual design for all the communication and advertising tools. The agency has thus created for the America’s Cup all multimedial and online communications as well as the outdoor advertising campaign which stands out in the most visited spots of Venice.
April 2012. Established in 1987, Dromont is recognized as a world leader in dispensing technology: it has in fact expanded its sales offices in North America and in Asia, building a world wide commercial network. The company, based in Piemonte, has encharged Hangar Design Group with a rebranding project that will involve the restyling of all its communications tools.

The cover of the book “Il giardino dei raggi di Luna” by Sarah Addison Allen was awarded as the best cover of the week according to the literary blog “Il regno magico dei libri”: a success of the long and fruitful collaboration with the publishing house Sonzogno for whom Hangar Design Group developed the brand image and all cover designs.

March 2012. A new advertising campaign has been conceived by the agency for the Italian company Came on the occasion of the launch of its new Moto GP team. Since 2012 Came sponsors a new 100% Italian team, in collaboration with Iodaracing, running in the international Moto GP and Moto2 categories. The headline “Pure italian Tech-Passion” emphasizes the challange undertaken by Came, who has also been selected as global supplier for paddock access control systems of the Moto GP World Championship.
March 2012. From the imperial Amarone of Allegrini to the traditional grappas of Nardini, from the classical Cartizze of Faotto-Bottignolo to the sumptuous reds of Poggio al Tesoro: Hangar Design Group has contributed to the rebranding of four top quality Italian brands now at Vinitaly. For each of these companies – different for their history, experience, dimension and vocation – the agency has developed a set of identity brand elements and communication tools.
February 2012. A new collaboration has started with Belstaff, the renowned outwear brand, recently acquired by the Swiss group Labelux Group. On the occasion of London fashion week, thanks to Hangar Design Group’s web team, the company website has been enhanced with a new technological platform, complete of a reserved area which allows access to special contents to journalists, stylists, bloggers and fashion victims.
February 2012. The presentation ceremony of the new Shanghai Italian Centre, the post-expo Italian pavilion, has been held on February 24th. The project is supported by the Shanghai Expo Trade Co. Ltd together with the General Italian Consulate in Shanghai, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of International Trade. Because of the great success of the Italian pavilion during the 2010 exposition, the Italian Government has donated it to the Government of the Popular Republic of China. The pavilion has consequently been left in its current location and it’s going to be used as meeting point for cultural exchange and business activities between Italy and China. Hangar Design Group has designed and implemented the whole identity system project: from naming to logo, from corporate image to brand image.
February 2012. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with Allegrini, leading Italian wine-maker. The creative group will support the company in order to redefine its brand image on international markets. New communication tools on products and corporate identity will be developed in behalf of this dynamic wine company for a cosmopolitan and contemporary audience.

The 7th edition of Klimahouse, the fair on energetic efficiency and sustainability, opens on January 26 in Bozen, The mobile homes Sunset and Moonriver, designed by Hangar Design Group for Movit® brand of the leading company Pircher Oberland will be shown for the first time to the public and will be hosted in front of the main entrance. The Movit® project offers a new concept of living, combining design and quality with energy efficient exterior walls, technology of the building and equipment, certified by Casaclima agency as Klimahouse MobileHome.
January 2012. Aermec, the Italian leading company in air-conditioning systems, has started a long-term relation with Hangar Design Group, focused on supporting the brand in its growing phase in emerging countries. The agency will take care of all creative activities of the customer, below and above the line, thus consolidating Hangar Design Group’s expertise in the industrial market segment.
December 2011. Hangar Open Talk took place just before the holiday break in the agency’s headquarters. The talk was dedicated to the nature of creative work and its evolution. Some among academics, creative professionals and entrepreneurs have been involved and asked to share their experiences and thoughts with the Hangar staff.
November 2011. A Hangar Design Group Italian team spent two weeks in Shanghai to capture the latest asian fashion and design trends and consolidate clients’ relations in Shandong and Shanghai. They also covered a long picture story on the manufacture of Chinese ceramics.

Alberto Bovo, partner of Hangar Design Group, participated to the conference “Treviso Città del Design”, organized by Unindustria Treviso with IUAV and ADI Veneto e Trentino Alto Adige in the context of the X “Settimana della Cultura d’Impresa”. October 2011. The press conference for the launch of Amarone wine by Allegrini was held in Shanghai. The event was organized by Hangar Design Group in collaboration with Venice International University, in view of the promotional launch of this prestigious wine, planned for early 2012.
September 2011. “A 40 anni il futuro non è mai stato così presente”: an evocative headline for Came Group advertising, released for the 40 years anniversary of the company. The subject of the advertising, designed by Hangar Design Group for the company leader in the automation field, is the newly inaugurated logistic centre near Treviso.
September 2011. Hangar Design Group signed an agreement with Susan Becher & Associates, a NY-based pr and media relations studio, specialised in the field of design. This new agreement strenghthens the agency’s international vocation and its capability to support its clients on the U.S. market.
September 2011. The business manager of the chinese company Acera, Cindi Yu, visited the headquarters of Hangar Design Group. The focus of the meeting was the discussion on the project of brand identity for the ceramics firm from Taiwan. Acera produces the typical ceramics of Taiwanese tradition and aims to promote the brand at international level. Hangar Design Group will work on the concept of a new brand identity and all the sales tools of the collections, from the photo shoot of the products to the graphic design of the catalogues.
September 2011. A cocktail party for the thirtieth anniversary of Hangar Design Group took place on September 8th at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Guests were friends, entrepreneurs and clients who have collaborated in all those years with the studio. On this occasion the new book “Ideas not Airships”, published by Skira, was presented.

July 2011. New address for Hangar Milan, in the central area of San Babila. The new office, in Viale Bianca Maria, is a bright space studied in detail, faced on a wonderful private garden.
July 2011. Hangar Design Group received at MACRO in Rome the Compasso d’Oro ADI Award 2011 for the Sunset mobile home project. The award, assigned “for the product’s surprising intelligence and rapid production and assembly”, comes thirty years after the foundation of the studio and has been won by an innovative project of a house on wheels, combining functionality, aestethics and sustainability, as nowadays is required to every design project.
