The Chinese brand Acera, leading company in handcraft ceramics very active on the Asian market, has encharged Hangar Design Group with the internationalization of the company through the development of a new brand identity project. Step one: the opening of the first flagship store in the heart of Taipei.
May 2012. Airest is a company of the Save group operating in the retail industry through more than 160 retailers located in airports, motorways, stations, shopping centres and factory outlets. The company has recently assigned to Hangar Design Group the project of a new retail format for the Hub concept stores within Venice Marco Polo airport. The first opening is expected on summer 2012.

April 2012. The America’s Cup World Series is now getting under way in Venice: boat races will take place from the 12th to the 20th May. On the occasion of this world-renowned event, the organizing committee Vivere Venezia has encharged Hangar Design Group with the visual design for all the communication and advertising tools. The agency has thus created for the America’s Cup all multimedial and online communications as well as the outdoor advertising campaign which stands out in the most visited spots of Venice.
April 2012. Established in 1987, Dromont is recognized as a world leader in dispensing technology: it has in fact expanded its sales offices in North America and in Asia, building a world wide commercial network. The company, based in Piemonte, has encharged Hangar Design Group with a rebranding project that will involve the restyling of all its communications tools.
April 2012. The cover of the book “Il giardino dei raggi di Luna” by Sarah Addison Allen was awarded as the best cover of the week according to the literary blog “Il regno magico dei libri”: a success of the long and fruitful collaboration with the publishing house Sonzogno for whom Hangar Design Group developed the brand image and all cover designs.
April 2012. New acquisition on the occasion of the 2012 Canton Fair: Bimar, an international leading company in the small domestic appliances market segment, has encharged Hangar Design Group with the exhibition design for its exposition area and also with the creation of the concept and the realization of every communication multimedia element.
April 2012. Hangar Design Group strengthens its role of strategic consultant in social media by consolidating its own team focused on communities and social networks. The agency aims to combine strategies on new media and digital pr together with traditional media relations for an integrated approach to the new communication paradigms.
April 2012. Tecnotierre, leading brand of innovative solutions and materials for architecture based in Lombardia, chooses Hangar Design Group for the development of its new corporate website. The agency will create the visual design and digital graphics of the site, communicating the different skills and services of the company, which is specialized in architectural solutions for large-scale projects worldwide. The website will thus aim to enhance through rich project galleries the flexibility and the quality of Tecnotierre products and technologies.
March 2012. A new advertising campaign has been conceived by the agency for the Italian company Came on the occasion of the launch of its new Moto GP team. Since 2012 Came sponsors a new 100% Italian team, in collaboration with Iodaracing, running in the international Moto GP and Moto2 categories. The headline “Pure italian Tech-Passion” emphasizes the challange undertaken by Came, who has also been selected as global supplier for paddock access control systems of the Moto GP World Championship.
March 2012. Hangar Design Group has been invited to participate to three important competitions for the assignment of strategic design and retail projects. The agency will thus develop new creative proposals for the fashion brands Peuterey and Diesel as well as for the leading Italian manufacturer of scooter brands Piaggio.
March 2012. From the imperial Amarone of Allegrini to the traditional grappas of Nardini, from the classical Cartizze of Faotto-Bottignolo to the sumptuous reds of Poggio al Tesoro: Hangar Design Group has contributed to the rebranding of four top quality Italian brands now at Vinitaly. For each of these companies – different for their history, experience, dimension and vocation – the agency has developed a set of identity brand elements and communication tools.
February 2012. A new collaboration has started with Belstaff, the renowned outwear brand, recently acquired by the Swiss group Labelux Group. On the occasion of London fashion week, thanks to Hangar Design Group’s web team, the company website has been enhanced with a new technological platform, complete of a reserved area which allows access to special contents to journalists, stylists, bloggers and fashion victims.
February 2012. The presentation ceremony of the new Shanghai Italian Centre, the post-expo Italian pavilion, has been held on February 24th. The project is supported by the Shanghai Expo Trade Co. Ltd together with the General Italian Consulate in Shanghai, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of International Trade. Because of the great success of the Italian pavilion during the 2010 exposition, the Italian Government has donated it to the Government of the Popular Republic of China. The pavilion has consequently been left in its current location and it’s going to be used as meeting point for cultural exchange and business activities between Italy and China. Hangar Design Group has designed and implemented the whole identity system project: from naming to logo, from corporate image to brand image.
February 2012. Hangar Design Group has started a new collaboration with Allegrini, leading Italian wine-maker. The creative group will support the company in order to redefine its brand image on international markets. New communication tools on products and corporate identity will be developed in behalf of this dynamic wine company for a cosmopolitan and contemporary audience.
February 2012. A new retail concept for the beauty sector as been commissioned to Hangar Design Group by Deborah Milano. The agency will develop an integrated project of retail entirely dedicated to Deborah products. The project redefines the identity key points for the different product categories and creates an armonic system that interprets the wide product range with an accessible and vital language.
January 2012. The 7th edition of Klimahouse, the fair on energetic efficiency and sustainability, opens on January 26 in Bozen, The mobile homes Sunset and Moonriver, designed by Hangar Design Group for Movit® brand of the leading company Pircher Oberland will be shown for the first time to the public and will be hosted in front of the main entrance. The Movit® project offers a new concept of living, combining design and quality with energy efficient exterior walls, technology of the building and equipment, certified by Casaclima agency as Klimahouse MobileHome.
January 2012. Aermec, the Italian leading company in air-conditioning systems, has started a long-term relation with Hangar Design Group, focused on supporting the brand in its growing phase in emerging countries. The agency will take care of all creative activities of the customer, below and above the line, thus consolidating Hangar Design Group’s expertise in the industrial market segment.
December 2011. Hangar Open Talk took place just before the holiday break in the agency’s headquarters. The talk was dedicated to the nature of creative work and its evolution. Some among academics, creative professionals and entrepreneurs have been involved and asked to share their experiences and thoughts with the Hangar staff.
December 2011. The project BOX FOR YOU by Mondadori, developed under the creative direction of Hangar Design Group, has been officially launched. BOX FOR YOU offers experiences and activities (with or without accomodation) in relation to the categories of Taste, Wellness, Culture, Nature and Passion. Hangar Design Group developed naming, logo, packaging and all the communication tools, from catalogues to website and advertising campaign.
November 2011. A Hangar Design Group Italian team spent two weeks in Shanghai to capture the latest asian fashion and design trends and consolidate clients’ relations in Shandong and Shanghai. They also covered a long picture story on the manufacture of Chinese ceramics.
November 2011. Alberto Bovo, partner of Hangar Design Group, participated to the conference “Treviso Città del Design”, organized by Unindustria Treviso with IUAV and ADI Veneto e Trentino Alto Adige in the context of the X “Settimana della Cultura d’Impresa”. The 2008/2011 Compasso d’oro prizes from the city of Treviso were presented (Hangar Design Group, Arper, Magis and Tobia Scarpa) as well as the students’ projects of design courses Iuav Targa Giovani ADI 2011.

October 2011. The press conference for the launch of Amarone wine by Allegrini was held in Shanghai. The event was organized by Hangar Design Group in collaboration with Venice International University, in view of the promotional launch of this prestigious wine, planned for early 2012.
September 2011. “A 40 anni il futuro non è mai stato così presente”: an evocative headline for Came Group advertising, released for the 40 years anniversary of the company. The subject of the advertising, designed by Hangar Design Group for the company leader in the automation field, is the newly inaugurated logistic centre near Treviso.
September 2011. Hangar Design Group signed an agreement with Susan Becher & Associates, a NY-based pr and media relations studio, specialised in the field of design. This new agreement strenghthens the agency’s international vocation and its capability to support its clients on the U.S. market.
September 2011. The business manager of the chinese company Acera, Cindi Yu, visited the headquarters of Hangar Design Group. The focus of the meeting was the discussion on the project of brand identity for the ceramics firm from Taiwan. Acera produces the typical ceramics of Taiwanese tradition and aims to promote the brand at international level. Hangar Design Group will work on the concept of a new brand identity and all the sales tools of the collections, from the photo shoot of the products to the graphic design of the catalogues.
September 2011. The new book “As I told you before, Ideas not Airships” by Hangar Design Group is now available in the best bookstores. Published by Skira, the book is an imaginative narrative of the studio’s creative philosophy thirty years after its foundation.
September 2011. A cocktail party for the thirtieth anniversary of Hangar Design Group took place on September 8th at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Guests were friends, entrepreneurs and clients who have collaborated in all those years with the studio. On this occasion the new book “Ideas not Airships”, published by Skira, was presented.
July 2011. Minimal Cucine, a young company from Treviso producing high-quality kitchens, appointed Hangar Design Group and its press office for all the below-the-line communications and media relations.
July 2011. Hangar Design Group signed the new gift boxes for Distilleria Nardini: elegant and appealing shapes for grappas and liquors. In each pack the colour represents the quality and the personality of Nardini products.
July 2011. New address for Hangar Milan, in the central area of San Babila. The new office, in Viale Bianca Maria, is a bright space studied in detail, faced on a wonderful private garden.
July 2011. Hangar Design Group received at MACRO in Rome the Compasso d’Oro ADI Award 2011 for the Sunset mobile home project. The award, assigned “for the product’s surprising intelligence and rapid production and assembly”, comes thirty years after the foundation of the studio and has been won by an innovative project of a house on wheels, combining functionality, aestethics and sustainability, as nowadays is required to every design project.
June 2011. Work in progress in Mogliano Veneto, where the restyling works of interiors are finishing. Great attention was dedicated to the multimedia tools, useful for project presentations, and to the areas for web and digital design.
March 2011. It opened in Turin the exhibition Stazione Futuro as part of the 150 years Unity of Italy celebrations. The exhibition, curated by the director of the magazine Wired Italy Riccardo Luna, consists of ideas, prototypes and products representing the best expression of the italian creativity and innovation in a journey beginning in the present and leading to the Italy of tomorrow. Hangar Design Group is present at the exhibition with the project Suite Home, already award-winner in Shanghai 2010 for the initiative Italy of Innovators.
